The Supervisor of Nurse Navigation assumes the responsibility and oversite of the Intake Nurse Navigation team. This role will require working evenings primarily 0900-1800 PST. The role entails ensuring the nurses are following related nursing hospital policies and procedures, professional nursing practice, and relationship-based care across the organization within clinical and/or programmatic areas. The supervisor will have the responsibility and oversight of the Intake Nurse Navigation process for tracking patients through to treatment decision along with understanding and overcoming any barriers to care. The role includes reporting on metrics and tracking department Key Performance Indicators along with identifying areas of opportunity for process improvement with individual nurses as well as the team. This includes reporting on metrics at a minimum of weekly/monthly along with tracking to identify and address opportunities in real-time.

The successful candidate:

  • Must be able to work Remotely, Mon - Fri, 9:00a-6:00p PACIFIC STANDARD TIME,

  • Assume management of day-to-day operations in the assigned area including staffing issues, patient complaints or requests, physician concerns, issues revolving supplies and equipment.

  • Proactively work with staff and models patient service mentality. 

  • Work with their direct reports to oversee the development and oversight of quality measures, productivity and financial metrics and interdepartmental cooperation.

  • Monitor the provision of patient care and insist on the adherence to Nursing Service policies and Evidence Based practice.  Integrate industry best practices related to patient navigation into existing processes as appropriate.

  • Assume responsibility for ensuring staff maintains appropriate licensure, certifications, and core competencies.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Nursing, or equivalent work experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the current state of employment

  • BLS

  • Oncology Nurse Certified (OCN) preferred

  • Proven competence in staff nurse role and positive interdepartmental and management relations

  • Requires appropriate internet services, speed and dedicated workspace to effectively work from home
