- Oversee daily operations of the Veterinary Services Program, providing expertise in animal research procedures, biomethodology, anesthesia, analgesia, surgery, experimental design, and animal models.
- Collaborate with leadership to manage animal transfer programs, develop staff training initiatives, and ensure adherence to institutional, NIH, USDA, and AAALAC requirements.
- Train laboratory animal medicine residents, fellows, and research staff in laboratory animal science, research techniques, and regulatory best practices.
- Support IACUC activities by reviewing animal protocols, conducting facility inspections, developing policies and guidelines, delivering training, and communicating committee decisions to investigators.
