Pay Rate: $51.24 - $81.98 per hour

The Sepsis Coordinator is a registered nurse who serves as a clinical leader, educator, and quality improvement specialist for the hospital’s sepsis program. This role is responsible for the strategic oversight, daily operations, and continuous improvement of sepsis care across emergency and inpatient settings. The coordinator ensures compliance with SEP-1 guidelines, facilitates evidence-based practices, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include:

·      Serve as a subject matter expert and clinical resource for sepsis care.

·      Conduct daily rounds and case reviews to identify gaps in care and provide real-time education.

·      Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff on sepsis protocols and early recognition.

·       Support bedside staff in implementing evidence-based practices and clinical pathways.

·      Lead the Sepsis Performance Improvement Committee and related initiatives.

·      Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

·      Coordinate sepsis-related sentinel event reviews and contribute to root cause analyses.

·      Partner with quality, risk, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

·      Perform chart reviews and data abstraction to COH policies and guidelines for Sepsis.

·      Collaborate with informatics and analytics teams to track performance and identify trends.

·      Present findings and improvement opportunities to leadership and clinical teams.

·      Support regulatory readiness through data-driven insights and documentation audits

Your qualifications should include:

  • BSN.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care settings Leadership and education experience required.

Required Certification/Licensure:

·      Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
