Position Summary: Processes supplies, instruments and equipment. Restocks and maintains storage of supplies and case cart system. Assists in other departmental functions/duties as needed or directed to assure safe, effective, efficient, speedy patient care.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Processes medical instruments, supplies, and equipment following established procedures.
- Maintains inventory and ensures proper labeling and availability of sterile packs and supplies.
- Reports equipment malfunctions and procedural issues to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Participates in ongoing education and in-service training programs.
- Assists with the upkeep and proper functioning of department equipment and supplies.
Your qualifications should include:
Minimum Education: Post high school vocational/specialized training (experience may substitute).
Minimum Experience: CRCST certification or 1 year of sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
Required Training: Ongoing education in surgical and medical technology through in-services or courses.
Required Certification: CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: CRCST certification preferred.
