The City of Hope is seeking a highly motivated and well-organized Staff Scientist to maintain quality assurance for all preclinical irradiators. This role involves supporting and guiding users in conducting studies with open-field small irradiators, overseeing CT image-guided radiation treatment planning and delivery for focused radiation treatments, and participating in the expansion of multimodal (CT, optical, PET/CT) image-guided radiation delivery for multidisciplinary and translational research activities. The Staff Scientist will report directly to the Director of Radiation Core Service. With robust support from the City of Hope, the primary goal is to foster translational and correlative studies that bridge basic science and clinical trials.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
· Managing radiation core service
· Quality Assurance
· Treatment planning and delivery
· PhD in Medical Physics. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
· Experience with preclinical radiation research.
· Experience with preclinical multi-modal imaging such as CT, Optical, PET, and MRI.
· Experience with instrumentation, image reconstruction, and image analysis.
