City of Hope seeks an Assistant Research Professor in Supportive Care at our Duarte, California campus. Research areas include Palliative Care, Hospice End of Life, Psychosocial Distress in Cancer Patients, Geriatric Oncology, Pain Research, and Technology for Vulnerable Populations. The interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and chaplains, focusing on improving patient outcomes during and after cancer treatment.
Special interest areas: gender strengths, couples-based interventions, healthcare professional training, aging research, biopsychosocial screening, pain, and health services/social sciences.
This non-tenure track position involves developing and supporting research in health services, mental health, and social sciences. Responsibilities include contributing to research agendas, collaborating on papers and grants, developing research methodologies, presenting findings, and staying current in the field.

Your qualifications should include:
· PhD in psychology, social sciences, health sciences, or a related field.
· Experience in clinical trials, research development, and co-authoring grant proposals and publications.
· Strong computing skills, collaborative research record, and excellent communication skills.
· Preferred: Experience in oncology/hematology or palliative care, and knowledge of clinical trial designs.
