Department of Supportive Care Medicine City of Hope National Medical Center Duarte, CACity of Hope Medical Group is Seeking a Psychiatrist to Join the Main CampusThe Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a trained psychiatrist to meet the needs of our growing program on our main medical campus in Southern, CA.
Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, chaplains, and others - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. By bringing together clinical services, treatments, and the respective multidisciplinary team in one place, we can truly deliver world class cancer care that is coordinated and effective for our patients. Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our team of world class, nationally recognized team of medical, psychiatric, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical psychiatrist reporting to the Division Chief of Psychiatry.

Designated inpatient consultation and outpatient scheduling
- Position will be a combination of inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic service
- Generous 60 minute for new patient appointments and 30-45 minute follow up appointment blocks
- Flexible schedule: 8am-5pm
- 90% of patient panel are cancer patients. Experience with oncology patients preferred but not required
- Physician will practice at the main flagship medical campus
- Division currently includes 3 FTE psychiatrists
- Exciting growth and on-site tele-psychiatry services
- Clinical social work team on staff
- Multi-disciplinary collaboration
- Opportunities for teaching and other academic activities
- No ER coverage and no psychiatric holds
Position Benefits:

Salary Range - $300k - $335k The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications:
- Academic record consistent with appointment Assistant, Associate or Professor level at an ACGME accredited program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry required
- Additional training in geriatric, psycho-oncology or consultation-liaison psychiatry
- Experience with cancer patients, preferred but not required
- Applicants must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from an accredited educational institution and boarded (or board eligible) in psychiatry
- Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted medical license in the State of California
