Position Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides delegated patient care for an assigned population, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure high-quality service delivery. Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the CMA performs tasks that facilitate patient care and clinic operations in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
The CMA works under the direct supervision of a Medical Oncologist, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant for clinical care activities. Administrative oversight, evaluations, and reporting are managed by the Clinic Manager or Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform delegated clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures
Support administrative duties including scheduling, documentation, and patient communications
Ensure compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Provide compassionate care to all assigned patient populations
Collaborate effectively with providers and clinic staff to support seamless patient care
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
CPR Certified
Minimum two years medical/surgical or oncology experience preferred
Previous office experience desirable
