The successful candidate:
Must be able to work FT Nights; 7p-7a.
Assess the needs of the patient through a holistic approach on an ongoing basis. Provide information to physicians and other health care professionals of any changes in patient condition. Adjust treatment based on multidisciplinary plan of care.
Plan, deliver, direct, coordinate and evaluate therapeutic interventions based on needs identified in the assessment process. Document interventions provided. Supervise care delivery by unlicensed support staff.
Provide patient/family education (in regards to disease process, side effects of treatment and health promotion) as well as support and reassurance, ensuring an informed decision is being made regarding the individuals therapeutic plan and documents according to department standard.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies. Participate in the development, review and updating of policies and procedures. Actively participate in the Performance Improvement plan of the unit.
Obtain patient medical history and medication information and document appropriately in the patient’s medical record. Verify and note physician orders. Provide safe delivery of prescribed medications and treatments and evaluate the outcomes in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college
BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date
BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)
ACLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)
Oncology experience preferred
