The Vice President of Application Development & Integration Services provides the strategic vision and technical leadership needed to create a modern, scalable, and high-performing application ecosystem. This role is responsible for building and maturing an agile product-engineering organization that delivers robust application platforms, enterprise integrations, and cloud-ready solutions that support the organization’s mission and growth.
This position will report to the SVP for Product Engineering and bring together the new application development, cloud application engineering, API creation and management, integration services and testing services. It will also oversee the platform development for key platforms such as Salesforce and ServiceNow.
The VP leads the development and integration strategy across the enterprise—modernizing applications, strengthening interoperability, advancing API-first architecture and cloud engineering. This leader partners closely with ETG product management and AI team to work in an agile model to deliver based on the priorities of business, clinical, and technology executives. The VP helps define the application modernization roadmap, establish engineering and DevSecOps best practices, and drive adoption of cloud-based and SaaS solutions where appropriate.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Directs the evaluation of existing applications, integration patterns, and development methods, identifying opportunities to modernize, consolidate, reduce technical debt, lower costs, and improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Leads modernization of the application and integration landscape, including API-first design, event-driven architecture, microservices, cloud-native application platforms, low-code/no-code capabilities, and automated CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Drives delivery of major enterprise application, platform, and integration initiatives, ensuring they meet quality, security, productivity, and ROI goals, with disciplined program management and consistent execution.
- Oversees delivery of enterprise application services and integration services, providing innovative leadership to engineering, product, and support teams that represent the organization’s application presence to internal customers.
- Owns the development, maintenance, and governance of application architecture, integration standards, and best-practice engineering patterns, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and promoting a culture of customer service and high-quality end-user experience.
- Ensures adherence to all City of Hope policies, procedures, governance processes, performance improvement standards, security, safety, and compliance expectations, including the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan.
Your qualifications should include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Technology or related field
- 15 years of information technology experience, with 10 years of experience in technology leadership positions with an emphasis on Application Delivery, Software Engineering services.
