The Director of Technology Business Management is a strategic leader responsible for driving technology business management, operational excellence, and value realization across technology investments. This role ensures that technology spend and portfolio decisions are aligned with enterprise priorities and continuously optimized to deliver business outcomes. The Director partners with executive leadership, finance, and technology teams to embed and ensure execution of TBM principles into planning, governance, and performance management.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead the integration of TBM practices into annual and rolling strategic planning cycles, ensuring technology investments align with organizational goals and market dynamics.
- Shape and communicate the long-term vision for technology business management, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and driving continuous innovation and transformation.
- Maintain a closed-loop planning framework that connects demand intake, prioritization, and funding decisions to measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with ELT leaders to translate enterprise strategy into actionable functional and solution roadmaps, adjusting plans based on emerging trends and performance insights.
Provide strategic counsel and data-driven recommendations to executive leadership on operational priorities, strategic forecasting, and planning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the ELT, shaping technology investment priorities and influencing enterprise planning decisions.
- Drive integration of technology strategy with business operations, ensuring alignment across planning, governance, and execution.
- Establish governance structures that enforce strategic alignment across programs, projects, and products, leveraging TBM taxonomy for consistent cost modeling and reporting
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor degree
Minimum Experience:
5 years experience influencing C-suite decisions.
7 years in IT Strategy, functional strategies and planning, financial management and technology operations
5 years of management experience
Expertise in TBM tools and cost modeling.
Experience leading technology-business integration initiatives.
Strong leadership and organizational change experience.
