The successful candidate:
Location: Remote only
Hours: Full time - 40 hrs per week
Job Summary:
The Financial Clearance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate insurance verification and authorization for all scheduled patients at City of Hope. This role oversees the full financial clearance process to support a smooth patient experience and successful revenue cycle operations.
The supervisor provides day‑to‑day operational leadership, including personnel management, quality assurance, resource allocation, workflow oversight, process improvement, and occasional frontline support. Responsibilities include managing all functions related to financial clearance, such as insurance verification, LOA processing, scheduling/registration coordination, pre‑service cash collections, data entry and quality assurance, and point‑of‑service education.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education
Associate’s Degree (experience may be considered in place of formal education)
Minimum Experience
2+ years of healthcare experience in a lead or supervisory role
3+ years of patient access experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Training/Certification
Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt
