Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Facilities Operations provides leadership, direction, and management of designated facilities and corresponding operations. Scope includes oversight of the physical plant, maintenance, and grounds. The Senior Manager ensures the completion of services, repairs, and preventative maintenance, necessary for safe and efficient operations. Shall demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills. Holds the ability to manage complex programs in a diverse and dynamic environment, with short-notice tasking’s, under high pressure situations.
Leads coordination efforts of facility engineers and biomedical engineers, to provide preventative maintenance and repairs services for facility equipment (e.g. building management systems, safety systems) and medical equipment. Drives teams’ responses to highly complex, long-term requests for repairs and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. Poses working knowledge of California Building Codes, NFPA, accreditation standards, and other applicable regulatory agencies.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Supervise and direct the work of the team to ensure that planning, operations and minor project execution is completed.
Responsible for ongoing assessment of all facilities, as it relates to planning and forecasting of capital expenditures to maintain the facilities in order to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment.
Ensure compliance of all policies and procedures.
Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to ensure products and/or services meet requirements and expectations while aligning with departmental strategies.
Align team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; assumes responsibility for decision making.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise long-term equipment maintenance (e.g., central plant operations, building management systems, safety systems).
Promote a safe environment by: driving individuals to complete safety tasks, including inspecting safety of equipment and/or facilities; participating in safety control programs to build on in-depth knowledge in one or more specialty areas.
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical disciplines or experience in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field.
5 years or more of experience in Engineering, Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing in Healthcare or Hospital and Research facilities operations
3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
5 years of experience managing operational or project budget
Must have experience leading multidisciplinary teams
CA Driver’s License
Additional Information:
Job Status: Full time, exempt
Salary range $136,420 - $227,822
City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
