The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Research Associate I.
The Hematopoietic Tissue Biorepository at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center collects and stores high-quality hematological tissue to support various research endeavors. This role involves identifying eligible participants for enrollment in clinical research protocols through clinician interactions and medical record reviews.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Conduct laboratory tasks: preparing sterile solutions, processing human samples, cryopreserving cells, maintaining records.
- Manage sample database: accessioning samples, using LabVantage, creating manifests and spreadsheets.
- Serve as liaison: between lab and investigators/research staff, Principal Investigators.
- Ensure quality assurance: of banked specimens.
- Adhere to regulations: regarding protected health information (PHI), IRB, and HIPAA.
- Maintain compliance: with City of Hope, State of California, and Federal rules.
Your qualifications should include:
