Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I/II, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards! Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. As a successful candidate, you will:
- Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
- Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects
- Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures
- Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Reports improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel
Your qualifications should include:
- High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
- 0-3 of related experience, depending on training
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
- Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
- Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT
- BLS or CPR
- Note: For candidates with 3 years of experience, may be eligible for Radiation Therapist II (Pay Range: $58.561 - $73.2021 - $87.8425/hr)
