Radiation Therapist – Radiation Oncology (Lancaster/Antelope Valley) (Per Diem)

Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I/II, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards! Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. As for our equipment, we utilize a Varian 2100iX with onboard imager/cone beam CT. Join us in providing exceptional care to our patients and mentoring the next generation of radiation therapists!
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
- Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects
- Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures
- Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Reports improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel
Your qualifications should include:
- High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
- Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
- Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT
- BLS or CPR

Note: For candidates with >3 years of experience: Radiation Therapist II (Per Diem Rate: $83.08/hr)
- For candidates with <3 years of experience: Radiation Therapist I (Per Diem Rate: $70.04/hr)
