Pay Rate: $34.0 - $37.55 per hour

A Postdoctoral Fellow position in Computational Biology is immediately available under the direction of Dr. Nagarajan Vaidehi- Chair of Computational & Quantitative Medicine at the Beckman Research Institute. This project involves development and application of large-scale data analysis techniques from the Systems Biology field to molecular dynamics methods, and the study of the dynamics of G-protein coupled receptors complexes to understand its signaling selectivity. The project is inter-disciplinary and provides opportunities to train in large scale data analysis techniques as well as interact with experimental collaborators. City of Hope provides a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment with opportunities to interact with clinician scientists to conduct bench side to bedside research.

Your qualifications should include:

  • PhD degree in Chemistry or Physics or Biochemistry with experience in protein dynamics studies. 
  • The candidate should be knowledgeable about concepts in statistical thermodynamics, in python scripting and C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with Molecular Dynamics methods and experience in code development is preferred.
