A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is readily available in the laboratory of Dr. Wendong Huang in Arthur Riggs Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute at City of Hope. You will work on projects investigating the new pathways and targets in diabetes/obesity and cancer. The lab uses genetically engineered mouse models and molecular pharmacology tools to identify novel signaling pathways to develop new targets for drug discovery.
Our research interests include:
1) Liver-gut and microbiota crosstalk as metabolic mediators in regulating both normal physiology and pathogenesis.
2) Development of novel drugs to treat MASH, diabetes, and cancer.

Your qualifications should include:
· A Ph.D. or M.D. degree in broad biomedical sciences.
· Proficiency in biochemical techniques, molecular biology skills, and cell culture.
· Research experience with in vivo animal models.
· Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by peer-reviewed publications.
· Good communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.
