Leveraging multiomics, mouse genetics, hiPS cells, and electrophysiology, our lab works on molecular mechanism of cardiometabolic oncology. The postdoctoral fellow will be co-supervised by Dr. June Wha-Rhee and Dr. Zhao Wang.
As a successful candidate you will:
- Investigate metabolic regulation and immune crosstalk in cardiovascular disease during cancer treatment.
- Explore shared molecular mechanisms linking cardiovascular disease and cancer progression.
- Apply cutting-edge techniques including spatial transcriptomics and single-cell multiomics and integrate multi-omics data to identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
- Study cardiomyopathy across models of diabetes, cancer, and pressure overload.
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to high-impact publications.
Your qualifications should include:
- PhD or M.D.
- Experiences in iPSCs and/or mouse models/handing (mouse genetics experience preferred)
- Experience in cardiovascular disease and/or immunology (cardiac immunology preferred)
- Training in molecular and cellular biology
- Proven track record of successful research projects and publications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
