The successful candidate:
Schedule:
Part Time - 24 hrs per week
Variable days, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, including rotational weekends
Position Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring results are reported within expected turnaround times to support optimal patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of the theory behind laboratory procedures, the ability to identify and report issues, and competency in performing maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment according to departmental standards.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field — or the ability to obtain the degree within 4 months of hire — required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred.
MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Professional and adaptable, with flexibility to meet departmental needs.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork with laboratory staff, nursing, and physicians.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Excellent organizational skills with strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
