The Food Service Worker may work anywhere on property where food is prepared. This person will assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables. Duties will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations. May be responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but City of Hope may identify other responsibilities of the position
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Prepare and store hot and cold foods, following recipes and using kitchen equipment.
- Set up, serve, and replenish food at stations;
- Assist customers as needed.
- Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and keep records for supplies and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment;
- ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Perform general cleaning, including dishwashing, polishing silverware, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash.
- Attend required training sessions, safety meetings, and hazard assessments.
- Assist with trayline food distribution as needed.
Your qualifications should include:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of food service experience preferred.
Additional Information:
Full time - 40 hrs
Must be open to weekend and holidays
