Job Summary
The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within the City of Hope Environmental Services department, which provides essential non-medical sanitation support to contribute to positive patient outcomes. The Supervisor upholds a comprehensive knowledge and high-quality standards of Environmental Services operations, effectively prioritizing short- and long-term goals. They guide and motivate staff to complete day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign and revise staff work duties and schedules to meet department needs.
- Manage team performance and ensure adherence to established cleaning procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of sanitation to provide a safe environment.
- Assist with performing cleaning tasks as needed.
- Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 1-3 years of Environmental Services experience required.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Healthcare Environmental Services experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership ability and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office Products.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
