Pay Rate: $65.73 - $109.77 per hour

Under the strategic leadership of the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, the Director of Quality and Performance Improvement leads hospital-wide initiatives that ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care. This leader drives clinical quality, peer review, and performance improvement programs while partnering with physicians, nursing, and administrative teams to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Lead the hospital’s clinical quality program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Monitor and improve key hospital quality indicators such as mortality, readmissions, and patient safety outcomes
Partner with physician and nursing leadership to implement evidence-based care practices
Oversee quality data collection, validation, and reporting to regulatory agencies
Direct medical staff peer review processes
Lead performance improvement initiatives using methodologies such as PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma
Develop and present quality dashboards, scorecards, and insights to executive leadership
Collaborate with risk and patient safety teams to support a culture of transparency and safety
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and drive organization-wide quality initiatives
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (RN required)
5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital quality, performance improvement, or clinical operations
Expertise in peer review, OPPE/FPPE, and hospital regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge of quality metrics, data analytics, and performance improvement methodologies
Advanced analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Proven ability to influence physicians and senior stakeholders
Master’s degree (MHA, MPH, MSN, MBA, or related) preferred
Certification CPHQ or Six Sigmapreferred
Additional Information:
Job Status: Full time, exempt
Salary range $136,715 - $228,314
