We are looking for a Clinical Research Admin to support Dr. Loretta Erhunmwunsee. You will be responsible for performing advanced and complex level-specific activities related to projects within the Department of Surgery and Health Access and Community Enrichment (HACE) Office. You will assist the Chief HACE Officer managing operational and technical aspects for multiple projects and studies advancing health equity science, social determinants of health integration and enterprise research. You will also be assisting in preparing presentations and writing grants, manuscripts, abstracts, research reports, and research papers as well as providing feedback and guidance to research staff to ensure that all regulatory documents and submissions are compliant.
As a successful candidate, you will:
· Assist with IRB tracking, submission, and correspondence as well as be responsible for ensuring that all regulatory documents and submissions are current and ensure compliance with all research protocols approved by the City of Hope IRB as well as other regulatory agencies.
· Work closely with PI/HACE Chair in business –related and fiscal activities, including but not limited to budget preparation and monitoring, purchasing, personnel, time and attendance.
· Be responsible for development and administration of budgets and working with the business manager to reconcile expenses.
· Lead or co-lead preparation of grant writing, scientific writing, manuscripts, abstracts, research/progress reports, and other documents.
· Represent HACE and the PI’s research portfolio in internal committees, national working groups, and community forums; prepare and deliver presentations for conferences, board meetings, and institutional events
· Serve as a liaison between PI/HACE Chief, HACE staff, research staff, external collaborators, community partners, and others at outside institutions.
· Consult with funding agencies, research collaborators and participating institutions as necessary and ensure timely submission of data from outside centers according to protocol and grant requirements.
· Make recommendations and participate in Policy and Procedure development and revision of the research lab and HACE.
Your qualifications should include:
· Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an academic or research environment. Supervisory experience required.
· Masters or Doctoral degree in scientific, public health, epidemiology or related field preferred.
· 5 years of experience with Federal grant writing and business management within an academic or research environment is preferred
· 3 years of experience in management/leadership role is preferred
