We are growing at City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and are looking for a skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse IV. As a Clinical Nurse IV in Main Ambulatory Clinic, you will work with our Gastroenterology physician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality patient care while supporting the GI team.
In this role, you’ll oversee daily clinic operations, coordinate patient flow, and assist the gastroenterologist with procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies. You’ll also mentor nursing staff, implement best practices, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. Your expertise will help create a seamless, patient-centered experience while fostering a positive and efficient clinic environment.

As a successful candidate, you will:
- Overseeing a smooth and effective daily workflow in the clinic
- Fosters collaboration and teamwork to achieve positive working relationships with all nurses, advance practice providers, physicians, allied health, and support staff members.
- Coordinates morning huddles to provide information and lead implementation of clinic processes.
- Collaborates with provider regarding post op symptom management and surgical site self-care management.
- Assist providers with order entry.
- Coordinates plan of care with multidisciplinary teams: including social worker, case manager, pharmacy, and others
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment administration.
- Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients, fostering trust and confidence.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required.
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferred background in oncology nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
- Current National certification must be maintained to retain CN IV status. City of Hope (Nursing Excellence Department and HR) approve certifications which are a subset of ANCC Magnet-recognized certifications as updated in ANCC Demographic Data Collection Tool. (DDCT)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
