Pay Rate: $63.81 - $92.53 per hour

Are you an experienced Medical Surgical nurse ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients? Join our team at City of Hope Orange County Cancer Specialty Hospital as a Clinical Nurse III in the Medical Surgical Unit and help deliver world-class, compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
As a Clinical Nurse III, you will guide and coordinate care for patients with conditions such as cardiac, respiratory, sepsis, diabetes, and post-surgical needs, many of whom are receiving chemotherapy or other cancer-related treatments. You will provide specialized oncology-focused care while upholding Nursing Department policies, procedures, and high standards of practice.
In this role, you will complete comprehensive assessments, monitor treatment-related side effects and post-operative complications, and create individualized, evidence-based care plans. You will work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to support patients through active treatment and recovery, helping improve outcomes and quality of life.
We are seeking passionate, skilled nurses who think critically, act decisively, and provide compassionate support to patients and families. Strong communication, documentation, and the ability to incorporate cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual needs into care plans are essential to delivering exceptional care.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Use the nursing process and practice standards to guide patient care management.
- Assess patient conditions, identify early signs of complications, and respond effectively.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
- Apply knowledge of the clinical information system to accurate patient documentation.
- Prioritize holistic care that addresses patients’ physical and emotional needs.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for new staff members.
- Practice in alignment with the City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver service excellence in care.
- Carry out the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care planning, and document according to standards while validating the patient’s and caregiver’s understanding of the care plan and expected outcomes.
- Act as a change agent committed to lifelong learning, professional development, and the mission, values, and nursing ethos of City of Hope.
- Work in a 20-bed unit.
- Shift: Nights
- This position is eligible for a night shift differential up to $6.50/hr and a weekend differential up to $15.60/hr.

Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 – 5 years related experience
- Current CA Registered Nurse License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification
