Position Summary

City of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our exceptional team in the Endoscopy Department. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be an integral part of a specialized team that performs a wide range of endoscopic procedures critical to diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This opportunity is for full-time, 8 or 10-hour shifts, and variable shifts. This position is also eligible for a unit differential up to $5.20/hr additional. 

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Endoscopic Procedure Assistance: Provide expert nursing care and support during various endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, cystoscopies, laparoscopies, laryngoscopies, mediastinoscopies, thoracoscopies, and upper endoscopy.
• Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' well-being by ensuring their safety, comfort, and understanding of the procedures. Monitor vital signs, administer medications as necessary, and provide emotional support throughout the process.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, anesthesiologists, and technologists, to ensure seamless patient care and the highest standards of clinical excellence.
• Infection Control: Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, documenting the patient's condition, medications administered, and any complications during or after the procedure.
• Education: Stay current on the latest advancements in endoscopy and nursing practices, and provide education to patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care.
