Position Summary
The RN in our outpatient surgical oncology clinic plays an essential role in coordinating and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the surgical care continuum. You will support pre-operative education, assist physician in minor procedures, and post-operative processes, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and well cared for.
Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available!
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Perform nursing assessments and triage for patients (surgical oncology, medical oncology and occasional diabetes patients)
- Provide patient education on surgical procedures, post-op care, and recovery expectations
- Assist with minor outpatient procedures and clinic-based surgical care
- Monitor patient status during post-op visits and coordinate follow-up care
- Administer medications and manage IV lines as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary oncology teams
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic workflow development
Your qualifications should include:
- Associate degree in nursing
- RN III - 3 years of experience as a RN
- Current California Registered Nurse license
Current BLS through American Heart Association
