Respiratory Therapy Supervisor-Irvine
Aligned with the organization core values and reputation for excellence. This role provides oversight in partnership with the Manager of the Medical Diagnostic Center to include Respiratory Therapy, Pulmonary lab, Noninvasive Cardiology department and Neuro lab. Assists with the fiscal operation of Medical Diagnostics through supporting preparation of budget, training and development of employees. Aligns with the organizational strategic goals. Responsible for the provision of diagnostic, treatment and educational services for patients seen in the department
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Leads daily departmental operations and collaborates with management to improve performance, patient outcomes, and staff efficiency.
- Oversees staff supervision, ensuring accountability, annual competency assessments, orientation, and ongoing training
- Monitors quality of care, reviews patient documentation, and implements initiatives to address performance gaps.
- Develops, revises, and enforces policies and procedures in line with evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures compliance with safety, infection control, and JC laboratory certification standards across all assigned units
- Manages department resources, including staff scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinates multidisciplinary communication, supporting service recovery, patient experience, and community relationships.
- Supports new technology rollouts and participates in hospital meetings, committees, and continuous improvement efforts.
Your qualifications should include:
Education:Bachelor’s Degree required.Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Experience:Minimum of 4 years in a related field with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Certifications/Licensure:Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) AND either Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
