Pay Rate: $26.81 - $41.55 per hour

Position Summary: Manages centralized patient education materials ordering and distribution for the entire medical center, acting as a single point of contact for efficient access to current and authoritative educational materials. Provides project management and programmatic support to the director and division. Provides a variety of administrative support to the director, department and the division. Coordinates development and updating of educational materials, Coordinates City of Hope’s Patient and Family Orientation Program.

As a successful candidate, you will: 

Manage centralized patient and family education materials ordering and distribution for the Medical Center, ensuring that division service standards are achieved.•    Receive, process, and fulfill orders for educational materials from clinics, inpatient units, nursing, New Patient Services and other departments. •    Develop and manage robust documentation and inventory management system in order to anticipate materials needs.•    Coordinate assembly of packets with New Patient Services and volunteers. Oversee volunteers’ assembly of patient education packets. Manage on-line databases of patient and family education materials.

Provide project management and programmatic support to the director, department and the division, which includes the following programs: Patient, Family and Community Education; Child Life; Patient Navigation, Biopsychosocial Screening; the Patient and Family Advisory Council and El Concilio. •    Collaborate with director and team in planning and executing patient engagement and patient experience projects, facilitating on-going partnership with patient and family advisors from project initiation to completion.•    Lead development of division content for Supportive Care internet and intranet pages and coordinate on-going updating by division staff.•    Collaborate with director in developing project plans, monitoring progress and tracking outcome metrics for the division.•    Lead/actively participate in Department of Supportive Care Medicine project work teams. Collaborate with division and department colleagues in marketing Supportive Care programs and services.

Your qualifications should include: 

  • High School or equivalent
  • College Courses
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in a customer service-focused, administrative support role
