The laboratory of Dr. Ping Wang, M.D. is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow within diabetes and metabolism research. Dr. Wang brings three decades of distinguished expertise in diabetes research and treatment to City of Hope. As we expand our work in Southern California, Dr. Wang will continue to grow our diabetes program and support our commitment to cure all forms of diabetes, including type 1.

As a successful candidate, you will:
· Conduct research for projects related to elucidating the role of mitochondria in insulin resistance during the development of diabetes complications.
· Use transgenic mice models and genomic tools such as single cell RNAseq to interrogate how molecular alternations in mitochondria change the course of diabetes complications.
· Perform lab work related to genomic analysis
· A Ph.D. degree in the life sciences is required.
· Experience with molecular biology and familiarity with transgenic models is required
