A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the stimulating environment of the Department of Immuno-Oncology, Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope under the mentorship of Dr. Marcin Kortylewski.
The position focuses on the exploration of molecular and cellular mechanisms of immunosuppression in tumor models of glioma. These studies will include testing of original oligonucleotide-based approaches for targeting cancer survival and tolerogenic signaling. Skills in multicolor flow cytometry and/or animal studies in brain tumor models are required. The candidate will be responsible for drafting manuscripts, progress reports and presenting the results internally as well as extramurally when needed.

Your qualifications should include:
- A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Ph.D. in relevant field (received within past 1-2 years).
- Strong background in molecular biology and/or tumor immunology.
- Demonstrated laboratory research skills.
- Experience in immunophenotyping of human and mouse immune cells using flow cytometry and functional assays.
- Experience with animal studies or with cancer immunotherapy related studies is a plus.
