The Portfolio Information Officer, Research and Trials manages and oversees a collection of assets, projects, or programs within an organization, ensuring they align with strategic goals and objectives of the research and clinical trials verticals. The Portfolio Information Officer, Research and Trials responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the portfolio's performance, acting as a liaison between different departments and stakeholders. Ensures the continuous delivery and operation of integrated information systems to enable our ability to deliver excellent translational research and clinical trials. Works with Research and Clinical trials senior leadership to evolve the systems and technology structure, governance to support current and future needs. Collaboratively develops and operationalizes an a strategic plan and establishes the best course for managing the various technology platforms and applications.
- Ensuring the portfolio aligns with the organization's overall strategic direction and objectives.
- Developing and implementing plans for managing the portfolio, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to the portfolio. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the portfolio.
- Preparing regular reports on portfolio performance, key risk drivers, and emerging trends.
- Bolsters information security and privacy programs and ensures that appropriate safeguarding of data management is continually monitored and reviewed.
- Recommends processes and procedures that control the confidentiality, security, integrity and utilization of data.
- Builds relationships with physicians, scientists, and other leaders to understand and ensure their needs are recognized and fulfilled and that information systems are enhancing the practices of medicine, research, and education.
Your qualifications should include:
Minimum Education: Master's degree or MBA preferred
Minimum Experience: Ten years in a leadership position within information technology with at least 15 years of total experience.
