The successful candidate:
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays
Status: PRN (As Needed)
This is a PRN position, meaning the role is on an as-needed basis. PRN team members are scheduled based on staffing needs and may not have a fixed or guaranteed number of hours each week. Flexibility is key, and this role is ideal for individuals seeking variable scheduling.
Overview:
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Patient Access Representative (PAR) is a paraprofessional caregiver working under the supervision of a registered nurse. This dual-role position supports both clinical and administrative functions, including:
Assisting patients with activities of daily living
Performing select tests and procedures
Maintaining a safe and clean environment
Registering patients and entering orders
Providing care appropriate to the age groups defined in the scope of care
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Active status in the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry
Current CPR certification
