Dosimetrist – Radiation Oncology (Lancaster, CA) (Hybrid)
Join the transformative team at City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and treatment facilities in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. Our dedicated and compassionate employees are driven by a common mission: To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today.
As a Dosimetrist in Radiation Oncology, the primary responsibilities involve performing CT simulation and treatment planning using 3-dimensional computer-assisted techniques. Under the guidance of a staff physicist, the role includes conducting general patient dosimetry, incorporating hand calculations for external beam therapy, and calculating doses for irregularly shaped fields. Additionally, the Dosimetrist prepares Total Body Irradiation data for treatment and conducts quality assurance checks on the treatment planning system to ensure accuracy and safety in radiation therapy procedures.
Tentative Hybrid Schedule: Full‑time staff may work up to three days per week remotely. Eligibility for remote work begins upon completion of onboarding, competency validation, and demonstrated assimilation into team workflows. Because training needs differ, no predetermined timeframe is assigned. Operational or staffing requirements may necessitate increased on‑site presence to ensure adequate departmental coverage.

Perform 2, 3-D, and IMRT treatment planning
