As a successful candidate, you will:
Perform internal and external audits and reviews conducted by or through the Compliance Office. Gathers, reviews, and analyzes data required for such audits and reviews.
Support ongoing auditing and monitoring activities related to provider compliance. Use judgment and expertise to identify potentially serious concerns and ensure timely escalation of these issues to the Provider Compliance Manager and/or Director of Provider Compliance.
Support and maintain provider compliance related tools such as provider database, audit tracker, and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software. Data entry management with speed and accuracy.
Support Provider Compliance Committee and assist with special projects relating to the area of expertise as requested. Assist with projects involving data management using database and EPIC reporting tools.
Assist in the review and maintenance of existing Provider Compliance policies.
Support the compilation of analytics to track and trend Provider Compliance department metrics such as audit results and others upon request.
Assist with special projects relating to provider compliance as requested. Provide support with Internal Audit Department activities relating to provider compliance.
Maintain current knowledge of application of federal and state laws and regulations relevant to area of expertise and enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs relating to such topics.
Maintain knowledge of City of Hope Provider billing and collection systems, including knowledge of report writing capability, and works with Information Systems personnel to identify and request data needed for revenue cycle compliance reviews.
Your qualifications should include:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree; 3 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
Minimum Experience: 3 years’ experience in compliance and/or Revenue Cycle, preferably in a healthcare setting
Required Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical and critical decision-making skills required.
Software: EPIC, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Writer and Reader
