The successful candidate:
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week (3 days per week) with the potential to transition to full-time as patient census increases.
No evenings, weekends, or on-call coverage.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team. The APP, which includes Physician Assistants (PA), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), and Nurse Practitioners (NP), will provide personalized care to patients. This role requires strong clinical assessment, interpretative skills, communication abilities, and problem-solving techniques to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with or follow the direction of the patient’s attending physician.
Perform clinical tasks within the scope of accrediting and licensing bodies, as well as Medical Staff bylaws.
Ensure all medical record entries are co-signed by the attending physician.
Prescribe medications as clinically indicated and allowed by state/federal licensing.
Interact effectively in various settings, both inpatient and outpatient, with efficiency and urgency.
Exhibit a high level of independence and critical thinking.
Assess concerns using a collaborative team approach.
Be flexible with hours based on patient care and business needs.
Qualifications:
Oncology experience required
Current IL state licensure.
DEA license without restriction.
Illinois Controlled Substance license.
Required CME hours as mandated by the professional organization.
Relevant and applicable clinical experience.
