*Sign-on bonus of $5000

Hours: Mon - Fri 7 am - 3:30 pm or 8 am - 4:30pm*

*Occasional on-call on weekends

Responsible for assessing nutritional status and intervening with appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and/or education to improve, maintain, or optimize nutritional status.  75% of time will be spent in direct patient care (Outpatient). Inpatient coverage as needed

  • Utilize order writing privileges for enteral nutrition, oral nutrition supplementation and addressing nutrient/mineral deficiencies

  • Develop individualized plans to optimize intake for patients who are nutritionally compromised through medical nutrition therapy, oral nutrition supplements; provide recs to the medical oncologist team for medication management (antinausea medications, appetite stimulant

  • Work with patients during anti-cancer therapy to optimize treatment outcomes, minimize side effects and improve quality of life.

  • Work with patients after anti-cancer therapies have been completed to help with healthy lifestyle changes and decrease risk of recurrence

Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or recent graduate from an accredited school

  • State Licensure – May begin employment while applying for licensure & work for up to 6 months with supervision while license application process is pending.

  • 0-3 years clinical nutrition experience

  • Ongoing Maintenance of Continuing Education Units (CEU)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR/First Aid certified

  • Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) or Certified Nutrition Support Clinicians (CNSC)

  • Advanced degree in the field of nutrition
