We have a Postdoctoral Fellowship position available in Dr. Ajay Goel's multidisciplinary research team at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer. Our team comprises basic biologists, gastroenterologists, surgeons, oncologists, and bioinformaticians, working on collaborative projects with international consortia.

As a successful candidate, you will be:

  • Developing liquid biopsy biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response prediction.
  • Investigating the epigenetic basis of GI cancers, such as aberrant DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non-coding RNAs.
  • Exploring the genetics of early-onset and familial/hereditary colorectal cancers.
  • Studying the tumor microenvironment, stem cells, immune regulation, and identifying targeted therapies.
  • Investigating extracellular vesicles/exosomes in cancer pathogenesis and as disease biomarkers

Your qualifications should include:

·         Recent PhD graduate (within past 2 years) with a strong background and profound knowledge in the field of oncology, cancer biology, immunology, or immunotherapy.

  • Previous experience in working with human specimens and development of novel, innovative cancer biomarkers.
  • Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by high-impact peer-reviewed publications.
