Part Time Hospitalist Opportunity I City of Hope Phoenix 

Position Overview: City of Hope Phoenix (Goodyear, Arizona), a leading network of cancer hospitals and outpatient centers, is seeking an outstanding Part Time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalistto join our esteemed team. We offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to transforming healthcare by integrating cutting-edge research and compassionate care.  

Services Offered at City of Hope Phoenix: We offer surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, interventional oncology, genomic testing, precision cancer treatment and immunotherapy. Our clinical specialists treat all major and rare cancers with great attention to optimizing patients’ quality of life using multiple evidence-based clinical resources, treatments, and technology.  

 Position Highlights:    

  • Perform admissions, transfers, daily rounding, and coordination of discharges for medical/surgical patients with oncologic complications in a compassionate, patient-focused environment  

  • Rotating weeks 

  • A yearly schedule of 91 twelve-hour workdays

    Monday-Sunday 7am-7pm 

  • Respond to codes and rapid responses  

  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists, medical/surgical specialty teams, and other ancillary staff as necessary to develop and manage a comprehensive plan for patients admitted to the hospital  

  • 38 total beds-Current census 10-15  

  • EPIC EMR  

  • 24/7 vascular access team  

Competitive Compensation: Includes a highly competitive salary, signing bonus, relocation assistance and productivity/performance incentives. Actual compensation will be adjusted for specialty, experience, training, hospital/community needs and other factors.

Requirements:  

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)  

  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine  

  • Must have or be eligible to obtain Arizona Medical Licenseprior to starting date  

  • Experience and interest in the care of inpatient oncology patients  

  • Competency in comanaging ICU patients in conjunction with critical care medicine
