Position Summary
City of Hope Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Clinical Nurse to join our 2C Clinic team. The 2C Clinic specializes in the care of patients with Sarcoma (Medical Oncology and Surgery), Neuro-Medical Oncology and Neurosurgery, Melanoma, Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology, and various Medical Specialties, including Gastroenterology. The clinic primarily performs dermatology procedures and Mohs surgical procedures. This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and is designated for the day shift (8/8:30 am start time).

As a successful candidate, you will:
Patient Care:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex medical conditions.
- Perform dermatology procedures, including Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient outcomes.
Clinical Skills:
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient needs in outpatient settings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
- Coordinate patient care activities, including scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
- Current California RN license
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Card
