The successful candidate:
- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents the care of critically ill medical and surgical adolescent/adult patients.
- Provides acute care per protocols. Assists with special procedures.
- Directs the care delivered by patient care partners and other health care team members in the department.
- Collaborates with Physicians to evaluate patient readiness for change in level of care. Cares for med surg and telemetry patients as necessary.
- Recovers MAC local patients when PACU not open.
- Ability to interpret and operate cardiac and other invasive and noninvasive monitors, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms /trends, and institute appropriate interventions.
- Caring for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients.
- Initiating and maintain complex IV therapy , including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters & arterial lines.
- Safe use of less invasive, life supporting modalities i.e. BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure based CO/CI & SVO2 monitor, core temperature monitors.

Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Critical Care/ Telemetry experience
- Current IL RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified through American Heart Association
- OCN Certification within 18 months of hire or 36 total CE in Oncology every Commission of Cancer cycle of three years with completion of 12 CE every year (Surgical Services exempt)
