The successful candidate:
Schedule
Status: PRN (As Needed)
Shift:12‑hour shifts, Nights
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Minimum Requirement: Must be available to work at least three (3) shifts per schedule period (every 6 weeks). Additional shifts may be available based on department needs.
Job Responsibilities
Performs all offered respiratory therapies, ventilator management, EKG’s, Pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests and special procedures via Pulmonologist and Nursing Manager.
Operates and manages respiratory equipment and supplies to ensure safe and accurate patient care.
Performs and assists in training of new/temporary Respiratory Therapists within scope of practice and experience.
Performs clerical duties such as chart data entry, input of department charges, document filing, and other tasks as assigned
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
Required Certification/Licensure
Current Illinois Respiratory Therapist license
CPR certification
Preferred Certification/Licensure
ACLS
National Certification (RRT)
Preferred Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of critical care/ICU experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
Strong background in bedside patient care
Self‑motivated and able to work independently
Strong organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills
Software
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
