A Research Associate II position is available in the laboratory of Aritro Nath, PhD at City of Hope, Duarte, CA.
The lab’s research in the Department of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research focuses on understanding how tumors evolve in response to treatment, using both bulk and single-cell omics approaches. We also develop AI/ML-enabled computational tools to predict therapeutic responses and patient outcomes by integrating multi-modal omics and clinical data.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the following:
Biospecimen tracking and processing: ensure samples are collected and delivered to the lab for processing. Assist with sample processing for next-generation sequencing.
Project coordination: create and manage schedules for project tasks, deliverables, and milestones (e.g., annual progress reports for foundations/NIH/ARPA-H grants); assign tasks and follow up with lab staff and collaborators to ensure timely completion.
Document and reference management: assist in formatting and organization of manuscripts/grant documents
Communication and liaison: serve as a point of contact for internal and external collaborators, including research organization staff and budget personnel.
Resource and budget tracking: order general lab supplies, monitor lab expenditures and maintain budget tracking spreadsheets; keep records of resource usage (e.g., reagents, equipment time).
Additional administrative support as required (e.g. assist in planning and executing lab-hosted events and seminars).
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
Two years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor’s degree or one year related research/ laboratory experience with a Master’s degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, qPCR, and cell culture are preferred.
Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and ability to communicate effectively.
