Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Research Assistant I supports lymphoma research by performing a variety of laboratory experiments, technical procedures, and data-related tasks. This individual will contribute to projects involving cell lines, molecular assays, database management, and other research activities that advance the understanding of lymphoma biology and therapeutics.
As a successful candidate, you will:
· Utilize laboratory equipment and established protocols to perform a variety of research experiments, including mammalian cell culture, nucleic acid/protein extraction, PCR, and related assays. Record and validate results for accuracy and completeness.
· Assist with the maintenance, organization, and quality control of research databases, including sample tracking, experimental metadata, and project-related datasets.
· Conduct molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, gel electrophoresis, and preparation of samples for sequencing or downstream analysis.
· Perform routine cell line work, including thawing, expansion, authentication, and cryopreservation.
· Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), experimental reports, and laboratory documentation.
Your qualifications should include:
· Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences.
· 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.
Preferred qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
· Prior experience with mammalian cell culture, sterile technique, RNA/DNA extraction, flow cytometry, and handling of cell lines.
