Pay Rate: $34.0 - $37.55 per hour

A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is readily available in the laboratory of Dr. Wendong Huang in Arthur Riggs Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute at City of Hope.  You will work on projects related to the molecular mechanisms underlying the aging-related diabetes development using genetically engineered mouse models and multiple omics approaches. You will also need to be familiar with the techniques in gut microbiota and metabolomics analyses.

Our research interests include:

1) Liver-gut and microbiota crosstalk as metabolic mediators in regulating both normal physiology and pathogenesis.

2) Development of novel drugs to treat MASH, diabetes, and cancer.

Your qualifications should include:

·         A Ph.D. or M.D. degree in broad biomedical sciences.

·         Proficiency in biochemical techniques, molecular biology skills, and cell culture.

·         Research experience with in vivo animal models.

·         Evidence of scientific rigor and excellence as documented by peer-reviewed publications.

·         Good communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.
