The successful candidate:
Schedule:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Includes 1 Saturday per month
Limited on-call holiday coverage (approximately 2 per year)
Job Summary
The Physical Therapist performs evaluation, screening, develops a plan of care, and provides direct patient care.
Independently develop and implement a physical therapy treatment program utilizing judgment to modify plan of care with a patients changing medical conditions.
Conducts educational in-service on benefits of Physical Therapy to patients/families, other disciplines (hospital staff), and to the community. Non-patient related duties includes, but is not limited to, assisting in clerical duties of the department, posting charges, and light housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department. Works under the general and direct supervision of the director and manager of the rehabilitation services department.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Current Illinois Physical Therapist license, or candidate with an approval letter from Continental Testing Services, Inc. for PT licensure examination, in accordance with the Illinois Physical Therapy Act requirements
CPR certification required
