The successful candidate:
This is a PRN position.
Hours for this position are anywhere from 6:30am-6:30 pm eight hours shifts and every other weekend.
Availability is due 4 weeks in advance of schedule start date
Call may be required
Overtime is normally not available; however, you may be asked to work overtime based on business needs.
PRNs are not eligible for benefits but are eligible to participate in our 401k program and other eligible rewards programs.
Responsibilities Include:
Ensure a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment coupled with an unparalleled level of customer service is paramount to guarantee a positive experience for all patients, caregivers, stakeholders, and guests.
Responsibilities include managing all cash transactions for food items and maintaining as well as setting up the serving and dining areas.
Assists with dining room set-up table clearing and resetting as needed. Works with appropriate departments to coordinate daily menu signage, food displays, guest special needs requests and requirements.
Receives and greets customers, suggests, and describes available menu items, resolves customer concerns.
Operates cash register for customers purchasing hot and cold food items adhering to established pricing structures and correct portion sizes to charge each customer appropriately. Follows all pricing structures and cash handling polices and guidelines and completes end of shift reporting and deposit.
Ensures proper sanitation of entire workstation and area, hand hygiene, guest contact surfaces and as instructed by leadership using ServSafe as reference.
Work in inpatient taking meal orders and delivery as well as in the coffee shop
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Minimum Experience
Preferred: A minimum of one year's experience in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, or a high-volume hospital cafeteria setting.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, is necessary.
Must have strong attention to detail, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment are required.
