The successful candidate:
You will work an 8-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm and some Sundays from 8 am to 5pm, plus rotating call duties.
Our Computed Tomography (C.T.) Technologists are highly skilled professionals who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. Low Dose Lung Cancer Screening (LDCT), which uses 90 percent less radiation than a conventional chest CT scan and is especially effective for diagnosing lung cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.

In this role you will:
Operate all general diagnostic equipment, including stationary and portable x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable and C-arm, and computed tomography, in a safe and proficient manner.
Adhere and enforce all compliance requirements and policies, performing their responsibilities ethically and in line with the organization's values.
Produce high-quality images with minimal repeats, manage multiple room assignments, and handle a wide variety of exams daily.
Effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel is essential.
May require cross-training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Imaging or Imaging Operations Manager.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum of two years of experience after graduation in a major hospital setting
Knows cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology and Computed Tomography terminology, practices and procedures.
Venipuncture skills
Knowledge of proper billing codes and physician billing procedures.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Shows drive and creativity. Is willing to accept a challenge. Willingly takes on or seeks additional responsibilities.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of work practices in emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards.
Required Licensure & Certifications
Must be registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, ARRT (R), and Computed Tomography (CT) required
Additional registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) preferred, but not required
Must have an active BLS certification
Completes a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education bi-annually and remains “in compliance” with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology’s continuing medical education requirement (CME).
