Pay Rate: $61.65 - $89.4 per hour

Position Summary

As part of an expansion, we are seekingcompassionate and experienced Clinical Nursesto join our Interventional Radiology team in our new Hope Plaza building. The Radiology Nurse assumes all responsibility and accountability for performing a variety of nursing functions that include scheduling, confirmation, intake, triage, assessment, identification of needs, planning, implementing appropriate interventions, documentation, evaluation, explanation of procedures, checking for and or obtaining consents, obtaining vitals, operating suction, oxygen, and power injectors and maintaining patients' comfort during radiographic procedures. The nurse is assigned to provide support and assistance during general anesthesia and deep sedation, administer medication and monitor patients during moderate sedation in Radiology for Outpatient, PET Scan, CT scan, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology and X-ray. This position takes direction from Radiologists, and other physicians as well as the nurse manager and Director of Diagnostic Radiology to ensure that the procedures are carried out effectively and safely. This opportunity is for full-time, 10-hour shifts (4 shifts per week), and designated for the day shift (variable start times - earliest 5:30am, latest 9:00am). The department is open Monday-Saturday. Call is required for this position.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Provide pre and post-procedure nursing care for oncology patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures (e.g., biopsies, drainages, ports, ablations, embolizations).
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, lab values, and procedural readiness.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
  • Monitor patients under moderate sedation according to facility policies and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, oncologists, and other members of the care team to coordinate individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, manage adverse reactions, and participate in resuscitation efforts if needed.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterile technique during procedures.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required
  • Current California RN license
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience (ER/ICU/IR experience preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • PALS through American Heart Association
